Following the closure of Blockbusters in 2014 ( They had the chance to buy Netflix for $50m in year 2000 but the CEO thought streaming was a joke) The building remained empty until 2019 due to Bradford Council putting a compulsory purchase order (CPO) on the building to facilitate the road widening scheme. After years of negotiations with BMDC, Wilkinsons Developments have finally completed the shortening and subdividing of the building. The new tenants are Greggs PLC and Explore Learning.
